Mobile App Audit

A working prototype of your top AI feature, and a costed plan, in one week.

For founders and heads of product at companies with a live mobile app and a small or generalist engineering team, who need to ship AI and want it de-risked before committing a quarter of their team.

One week of senior engineering attention on your mobile codebase and your AI roadmap. You walk away with a working proof-of-concept of your highest-impact AI feature running on a real build, a costed plan for shipping it, a 15 to 25 page report, and a 60-minute walkthrough. The fee credits toward a larger engagement if you sign within 30 days, and if the report is not useful, it is fully refunded.

Is this you?

When the audit is the right next step.

You have a production mobile app and a small or generalist engineering team that has not shipped AI in production, and your board or your users are asking for it.

You have an internal opinion about an AI feature you want to ship, and you want someone senior to pressure-test it before you commit a quarter of engineering bandwidth.

You have already shipped one AI feature, it is not landing, and you want a structured second opinion on what is going wrong and what to do next.

You are budgeting for an AI integration and you want a defensible cost estimate to take to your CFO or your board before sign-off.

The deliverable

A written plan, plus a working prototype of the top idea.

  • A 15 to 25 page written report covering current app architecture, AI readiness against our maturity framework, 3 to 5 ranked integration opportunities, a recommended sequence, and a costed plan for the top one
  • A working proof-of-concept of the number one recommended AI feature, running on a real build, so you see it work before you commit to a Sprint
  • A board-ready one-pager: an executive summary plus a token and MAU cost model you can take to your CFO
  • A 60-minute walkthrough call with the founder and the engineer who wrote the report
  • 30 days of async follow-up over email or Slack to answer questions as your team digests the report

How it works

One week, four phases.

  1. 01

    Mon to Tue

    Kickoff and discovery

60-minute kickoff call with you and one or two senior people from your team. We get repository access, App Store and Play Store metadata, your roadmap, and any internal AI experiments to date.

  2. 02

    Tue to Wed

    Codebase and architecture review

We read your app's mobile codebase, your backend interfaces, your data model, and your current deployment posture. We make notes on what the AI surface area would look like at each candidate integration point.

  3. 03

    Thu

    Cost and risk modeling

We sketch a monthly token-cost model against your MAU. We map each integration opportunity to one of our 5 patterns. We rank them on impact and cost.

  4. 04

    Fri

    Report and walkthrough

We deliver the written report by end of week. The walkthrough call lands within the next 5 business days.

FAQ

Common questions.

How is this different from a free assessment call?

The audit is a written, costed, week-long engagement with full codebase access and a deliverable you can take to your board. A free 30-minute call is a fit check. They are different products.

Will the audit recommend things you cannot build?

Sometimes, yes. If the right answer for your app is something we are not the right team for, we will say so in the report. We would rather not own a project that ships badly.

Who reads the audit on our end?

The standard set is the engineering lead, the product lead, and at least one decision-maker (CTO or founder). The report is written for technical readers but the executive summary is for everyone.

Can the audit fee credit be combined with anything else?

It credits toward the first engagement signed within 30 days of the walkthrough. It does not stack with future discounts.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. Mutual NDA on request; we have a standard template if you do not have one.

What if we do not have an app yet?

The audit assumes you have a production app to look at. If you are pre-launch, the right starting point is a scoping call for an MVP Build, not the audit.

What if our codebase is not React Native?

The audit covers Flutter and native iOS plus Android codebases too. The AI integration sprint and MVP build are React-Native-led; we will flag in the audit if a different team would serve you better.

Do you keep our code or our data?

No. Repository access is read-only and scoped. Any local copies are deleted at the end of the engagement, confirmed in writing.

Sample deliverable

What a delivered audit looks like.

This is a representative sample audit, built on a fictional wellness app, showing the exact format, depth, and rigor you receive. It is an illustrative example we wrote to show our work, not a past client engagement.

Read it before you book. If the format and depth match what your team needs, the audit conversion is straightforward.
