FAQ
Questions, answered straight.
You're in Nepal. Why not hire a US team?
Fair question. We keep four-plus hours of daily overlap with US and EU working hours, the founder is on every call rather than a rotating account manager, and our prices are published, not quoted per deal. On cost: a US mobile specialist runs north of $100K a year fully loaded, while our entry point is a $5,000 audit. That gap is about scope and overhead, not cheaper engineers. The reason to work with us is the access and the shipped work; the price follows from how we are set up.
Will adding AI break my existing app?
No, because we do not touch the parts that already work. We add AI as a thin integration layer beside your existing code: the feature calls a model behind an interface we own, with fallbacks for downtime, caching for cost and latency, and guardrails so a slow or wrong response degrades gracefully instead of breaking the screen. Your architecture, your data model, and your release process stay yours.
Who owns the code and the IP?
You do, in full, on payment. Repositories, cloud accounts, and model-provider accounts are in your name or handed to you at the end of the engagement. We do not hold your product hostage.
What if the AI feature doesn't work well enough to ship?
The audit answers that before you commit to a build. It ends with a working proof-of-concept of the top feature and an honest read on whether it clears the bar, and the audit fee is credited toward the Sprint or refunded if the report is not useful. We would rather tell you a feature is not ready than ship you something that embarrasses you.
What does the AI cost to run every month?
AI cost tracks tokens per request and requests per active user, so it scales with usage rather than a flat license. We model it during the audit: cost per action, expected actions per active user, and a monthly range at your projected scale, plus the levers that pull it down (caching, smaller models, on-device). We wrote up the full method in The mobile AI cost model.
You're a small team. What if my engineer gets hit by a bus?
Nothing lives in one person's head. Repositories and accounts are yours from day one, every engagement ships with written handover docs, and work is reviewed by more than one engineer so no single departure strands you. We run this way because we have felt the other version.
Why are you cheaper than the big React Native shops?
We are not running cheaper engineers, we are running a tighter menu. Four productized offerings with fixed scope and published prices mean no long discovery phase, no bespoke proposal cycle, and no bench to subsidize. You pay for the build, not the sales machinery around it.
Have an app that could use a feature like this?
The audit is one week: a working prototype of your top AI feature, costed and written up.
